I went to a restaurant a while back and purchased a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon- Stratton Lummis (Napa Valley, CA 2008), which both my date and I really enjoyed. I’m taking my date on a picnic and want to surprise her with a bottle of wine, but I’m not sure what to buy. I would like a wine similar to the Cabernet Sauvignon- Stratton Lummis wine I drank, yet understandably not the same exact bottle. Take a look at this website: www.wilkotucson.com –> click on Menu –> select Wine and Beer. Recommend a red wine please but give me a reason as to why you think this wine would be ideal.

I know nothing about wine, however, my mum is very fond of it. Im planning on buying some nice crystal glasses and bottle of wine.
Which would be best for around £100? Thanks

I bought a bottle of wine from my local organic shop, poured it into a decanter and drank the bottom 1/4 straight from the bottle. To my greatest horror, there was this huge metal thingy that was all rusted at the bottom of the bottle. Couldn’t believe my eyes!! Long story short, had to be checked out in the ER, and they said I will probably be fine. Do I have any legal redress? I still have two bottles from the same batch.

I want to get my parents a bottle of red wine for christmas. I want to get them something decent because when they buy wine for themselves, they don’t go cheap necessarily and they are critical of wines. So, I guess I’m willing to spend around , but I need some suggestions.
It will have to be common enough to be in my local liquor store. It’s a big liquor store–like a small grocery store, except it’s all alcoholic beverages.
Otherwise, I was just going to ask the attendant for suggestions.
Thanks.
I’m looking for a specific brand/bottle of wine, folks. Give me a name. I already said that I’m also probably going to talk to the store attendant. So if that’s you’re only suggestion, or you don’t really have a suggestion, please don’t bother answering. I will give you negative feedback.

Hi,
I bought a bottle of wine last night, opened it but didn’t drink it. Just put the cork back in and left the bottle there in the kitchen. I poured a glass for myself just now but haven’t had it yet. Is it safe to drink it?
I also put the wine in a cupboard away from light. For how many more days can I keep it?

I ask because on my list-of-things-to-do-in-my-life is drink a bottle of wine worth over €100 but after much consulation with wine man choose a 1995 chateau beausejour duffau lagorrosse as was in my price range and drinkable now (worry about imminent death). If price going to go up by €5 will hold out on drinking so list item adhered to..

I don’t want to buy a whole bottle of wine, we won’t drink it. Blegh.
It’s for marinating pork tenderloin, recipe calls for it.

Ok so it’s a strange question. Basically, I am on antibiotics I can’t drink with and I am taking a short break from them to allow myself to go clubbing tomoro nite. Please no lectures, I’m a grown woman, I know it is very very stupid but I can handle the consequences! I just don’t want to upset my liver too much! What would be the best thing to drink? Do you think lots of red bull and some vodka would be the way to go, or would i be better off with a bottle of wine? Thanks!!!
