2 cups lemon juice
2 cups orange juice
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brandy
4 cups red wine
4 cups club soda
Ice cubes, for serving
DIRECTIONS
Combine the lemon juice, orange juice, and sugar in a pitcher. Stir until sugar has dissolved completely. Add the brandy, red wine, and club soda. Serve in glasses with ice.

I’m a college student (and a beer drinker) who will be studying abroad in Rome next semester so I am looking for a wine that I can drink in Italy that is: red, inexpensive, sweet or somewhat sweet, has a decent alcohol content (not too low!!), and also easy to drink several glasses of (something I can drink close to a bottle of around the apt. before I go out to the bars/clubs).
I’m not looking for something to have just a glass of or enjoy with a meal. I’m used to drinking a six pack before I go out but I figure in Italy wine will be cheaper and easier to get.

I’ve tried Merlot and didn’t enjoy it
