Red Wine, Good Taste, Under $50? Help out please, read the details first please. PLEASE ANSWER ASAP.?

Okay, I need this:

*Red Wine
*Great tasting (sweet)
*Under ( is what I’m hoping for, is the limit).
*High in alcohol content

Please help me out, tomorrow is when I need to have it by. I’m new to wine, but I love it. I’m unfamiliar with the tastes of different brands and types of wine. Someone told me I should go with Merlot, but I’m not even 100% on what makes Merlot different than the rest of wine???

Please help me.

ALSO!!!

This is for romance, not a meal. Something romantic, and it CAN be fairly expensive. I’m looking for quality.

I need to make this point stronger…

I need wine that is sweet and high in alcohol content.

Even if they meet in the middle. I’d have semi-sweet/semi-dry, rather than extremely dry and somewhat sweet or extremely sweet and somewhat dry.

That’s exactly what I need. The BEST wine to me is a nice tasting and very alcoholic wine.

Can anyone tell me the name of a wine like this that is fairly common in America, Ohio specifically?

Can you recommend a red wine that is not too strong/sour tasting for a non-wine drinker?

My Mom’s doctor said she needs to drink a glass of red wine a day for her health. She bought a red wine (sorry, I can’t recall the name) but said it was much too strong tasting and sour for her. Can you recommend something that would be mild and sweeter tasting for someone who has not developed a taste for wine. Some have said pinot noir (sorry if that is incorrectly spelled, I obviously know nothing about wines) or merlot would be good. Do you agree? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Why does the same red wine (year and brand) taste different?

Last summer I bought a 20 dollar bottle of merlot ,calif. 2002. It was great. Bought it again in in the fall, same brand and year, great again. Bought a lot this spring, same brand and year again and it’s good but not great. I thought they should all taste the same.

Probability?

Need Help!
Because of a mistake in packaging, a case of 12 bottles of red wine contained 5 Merlot and 7 Cabernet, each without labels. All of the bottles look alike and have an equalprobability of being chosen. These bottles are randomly selected.
a. What is the probability that all three are Merlot?
b. What is the probability that exactly two are Merlot?
c. What is the probability that none is a Merlot?

Please help! I have a test on this stuff tomorrow and I am very confused!
