He has generously offered to pay for the 5 hours of open bar (house brand) included in our hotel’s wedding package. House brand consists of Bankers Club liquor (never even heard of it!), house wine (red and white), and three different kinds of beer (like Budweiser, Coors Light, Labatts). To upgrade to "premium" bar for the night, with brand name liquors, wines, and beers (Heineken, Yuengling, etc.) will cost an extra 0.
I really want the upgrade, but I do not want my future father-in-law to feel obligated to shell out another 0 because of a "bridezilla". My fiance and I are willing to pay the difference. Is there a tactful way to accept his contribution, and then put our own money down for the upgrade? When he shows up to the reception and sees the upgraded bar, might he be offended that we didn’t just gratefully accept what he paid for?
Thank you for the support!! So can I assume that everyone agrees that it would be poor etiquette to serve the lowest quality of bar available, and that the upgrade is a polite gesture for our guests (not just me being picky)?
Wine Club Offering – July 2009 – 2007 Coturri Carignane Testa Vineyards – www.radarwines.com We have exceptional wine clubs starting at only per month. This month’s red wine is the 2007 Coturri Carignane Testa Vineyards. Tony Coturri, head winemaker, calls this his “desert island wine”.
A vineyard produces two special wines a white, and a red. A bottle of the white wine requires 14 pounds of grapes and 1 hour of processing time. A bottle of red wine requires 25 pounds of grapes and 2 hours of processing time. The vineyard has on hand 2,198 pounds of grapes and can allot 160 hours of processing time to the production of these wines. A bottle of the white wine sells for .00, while a bottle of the red wine sells for .00. How many bottles of each type should the vineyard produce in order to maximize gross sales? (Solve using the geometric method.)

I’m getting married this August and was going to have a few wines to select from.. I’m on a budget, so I didn’t want to pay more than for a bottle. I am not a wine expert though, so I don’t know what kinds are appropriate. I’d like 3 reds and 4 whites.. doesn’t have to be all the same kind. I like Sutter Home white zinfindale but I don’t know if that’s to cheapo…
Any help would be appreciated!!

I want to buy a good red wine, but I don’t know much about wines. You know wich one is used at church, that is one yummy wine? wich one do you love the most?
I preffer sweet wine, but not to sweet.
I don’t drink very frequently, so I am quite the novice when it comes to selecting wines.
Anyhow, I plan to pick up some wine today and I need some recommendations. I want to pick up 1 bottle of red wine and 1 bottle of white wine.
I prefer wine that is moderately sweet, but I dislike wine that is extremely sweet. For example, on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being extremely dry and 10 being extremely sweet, I want to get something that is about a 6 or 7.
Also, what does sake taste like?
Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
